Born Ann-Margret Olsson in Sweden in 1941, she immigrated to the U.S. with her parents in 1946. A screen test for 20th Century Fox in 1961 led to a seven-year contract and stardom in 1963’s Bye Bye Birdie.

Ann-Margret Olssen (born April 28, 1941 in Valsjobyn, Sweden,[1] more often known as just Ann-Margret) is a television and movie actress. She has won five Golden Globe Awards for her many performances. Her movies include The Cincinnati Kid and Carnal Knowledge.
