This book is a biography of Farida Waziri, former Chief Executive of Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. It describes the author's early Catholic upbringing, her desire to be a nun, and how she was craftly made to join the police force by a young officer who turned out to be the love of her life. It narrates her successful service in the police force in among other positions as a spy and detective and ultimate retirement. From retirement she is invited to head Nigeria's top fraud and crime agency - the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. EFCC. The publication delves into her difficult encounters with fraudulent politicians, people in top government positions, the media as well as criminals in society and many threats to her life. She pays glowing attributes to her family, especially husband, who retired from the police force, became a politician and Senator, but died too soon.

Farida Mzamber Waziri (born 7 July 1949) is a Nigerian technocrat, law enforcement officer and former executive chairperson of the Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).[1] She succeeded Nuhu Ribadu in this post.
Background
[edit]Waziri was born on 7 July 1949 and raised in Gboko, Benue State. She obtained a law degree from the University of Lagos and obtained a master's degree in Law from the Lagos State University. In 1996, she gained a master's degree in Strategic Studies from the University of Ibadan.[1] She is the author of Advance Fee Fraud, National Security and the Law.[2]
Police career
[edit]Waziri enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force in 1965 and rose to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police. She held the positions of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations), screening and selection, Assistant/Deputy Commissioner of Police Force C.I.D Alagbon, Lagos, Commissioner of Police, General Investigation and Commissioner of Police in charge of X-Squad.
