Mean Old World is his 8th release and will be supported by 400 tour dates in North America, Europe, UK, Scandinavia, New Zealand and Australia in 2022-23.This authentic road poet travels North America, Europe, Australia, UK & Ireland with 7 records behind him either solo or with legendary sideman Jaxon Haldane (famed Winnipeg band-D-Rangers) never repeating himself on stage. From Celtic Connections (Glasgow, Scotland) to the National Folk Festival (Canberra, AU) his ability to hold an audience, weave melody, while juggling the dark with the light is infectious. Performed 750 concerts in 11 countries during the past 4 years armed with 10 instruments, brotherly harmonies and masterful storytelling. Influenced by touring with friends Fred Eaglesmith, Mary Gauthier, Steve Poltz & Kelly Joe Phelps, Tentrees is just getting started.
“Tentrees’ delivery is so relaxed and unpretentious it’s impossible to not get drawn into his world, sounding like a young John Prine.”– NO DEPRESSION
“In the rough cut vein of Kelly Joe Phelps or Fred Eaglesmith, Tentrees is gifted.” – THE GLOBE & MAIL Purchase New Record https://www.tentrees.ca/music

Going back and forth across this country from the Yukon, Gordie has performed some 200 shows a year either solo or with his band. He writes his own songs, plays a guitar, uses a slide, blows a harmonica, and is sometimes touched with a voice like a bird on a warm spring morning belting out the last day on earth. He also does other things before he gets to share his music like book his tours, promote them, manage his band, radio track his records, act as an agent, road manager, publicist, apply for things, pay for everything, parent the kids and make time for the girl.
His debut album "29 Loads of Freight" was released in 2004 to rave reviews, more shows, a documentary (www.topoftheworldfilms.com) and the opportunity to munch on many a snack tray with his hero's.
In 2007 Gordie released his second album "Bottleneck to Wire' with special guests Roger Marin (Fred Eaglesmith Band)- pedal steel, Jaxon Haldane (D-Rangers)- banjo, Amelia Rose (Fishhead Stew)- fiddle, Aylie Sparkes- guitar and Kim Barlow- cello.
It is a landmark album. If there is justice in this business, years from now we may be looking back and talking about the recording that brought this Canadian singer songwriter to the forefront of his genre….
